Lancaster Santa Dash & Reindeer Run

The short, flat route, approximately 1.5 miles, from Salt Ayre Sports Centre, along the traffic-free riverside path into the city centre is suitable for all ages and abilities and is fully accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs.  For those who want to make a race of it, that’s fine… but you won’t be timed, so whether you run, jog, walk, dance, prance or jingle all the way is entirely up to you.  It’s really just about having some fun and getting into the festive spirit.

Santa suits for the big kids and reindeer antlers and noses for the under 11’s are included in the registration fee with all proceeds from the event going to local charity, CancerCare.

On the day, registration will open at 10:30am at Salt Ayre and will close at 11:45. At 11:45 everyone will make their way to the start line for a pep talk and warm up. Ludus Dance is once again hosting an energetic warm-up for Santa Dash to make sure everyone is ready to go go go at 12:00pm for the race start.

If you are registering on the day, make sure you get down early to guarantee your space. 

Conditions of Entry

Entries are accepted on the day at an additional charge of £2.50 per person.  Places are limited and can only be guaranteed by pre-registering. The entry fee includes your Santa Suit/Reindeer Antlers, which will be available to collect at the start and are yours to keep. Please arrive to check in at least half an hour before the start. Participants accept that by taking part in the Santa dash, they do so entirely at their own risk. We kindly request that participants try to raise a minimum of £20 sponsorship for CancerCare.
